Jeremiah 31:34
"...I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more."
So often Satan likes to remind us of our past lives---of the sins we've committed, of the bad choices we've made, of the people we've hurt. He does it because it is his best way to get us to begin to doubt God. We may begin to wonder if God can really forgive us. Does He really forget our sins? Are we sure He won't bring them up again?
Here in Jeremiah, God promises He will forget our sins. He will not turn His back on us. He will not allow our sins to separate us from Him. We read in Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. This is a promise we can count on. I am so thankful that God not only forgives our sins, but He forgets about them. Satan may remind us and cause us to have doubt, but even if he brings them up to Jesus, He will tell him we are forgiven and those sins are forgotten.
As we go through the day let us remember that God will remember our sins no more! What joy that should bring to our hearts!!
